夏雲、積雲観て 昔を思い出し・・・・・

　今日は、やや雲の多い、湿気をいつもより感じる一日でした。夏祭りは、１１日とばかり考えていましたが、本日の誤りでした。　夕方は、酒と肴を抱えて、楽しもうと考えています。

　夏雲の積雲を眺めながら、昔日をふと思い出しました。

　Clouds forms reveal the presence of ascending and descending air currents. We know that clouds of the cumulus type do not float; rather, the minute drops of water which compose them are continually falling, but falling in a rising current of air. The turkey buzzard, soaring to a higher level without flapping a wing, makes use of this principle. He is not using magic to escape the law of gravity; he is falling all the time at a certain rate. But he has learned to do his falling in air currents which are ascending at a faster rate.
